There are so, so many earphones and ways to look at them that you can feel overwhelmed with the options available for you to spend you hard money on. And what I believe is the biggest mistakes people make is believing best sounding equals best earphones! This is so very wrong. It’s scary. And, it’s one of the biggest points of pain people create for themselves.

People read about one earphone that people say is the very best to ever in sound quality and yet still see someone claim that their favorite earphone is what they pick up and it’s not on the same list that they gave about their greatest sounding. So then they are confused about what to trust.

Az100 aka Saturo Gojo

First things first, my Best and Sound doesn’t equal best earphones. So yes I could give credit to rhe Pi8’s or the Rex5 for best sounding but then turn right around and still recommend that people buy the Az100 because they are my favorite checked the boxes , all-arounder earphones. This means it doesn’t have to be the best in sound over the pi8s or Rex5. It just means that while they sound great, they either never defeat or match the others in sound quality alone. And this could be perfectly fine because in all the other areas it either beats or destroys the others. So you have to look at the overall score vs. just one category. In fact, things like the Az100 and Denon Pro are just at 9.5 and 9.6’s while the others are at 9.9 and 10’s. These small differences may not be enough to move you when the Az100 contains a 10+ hour battery life or one of the best ANC AL’S performance on phone calls in history. Or the only device brand in the world to have 3 device connection abilities.

So you can see how fast the winds can shift if you  are not talking about the same subject. Just sound isn’t enough for me even though this is the highest weighted category. For me, you must have other attributes. For another, nothing else needs to be given but sound, and you must know who you are and if this is your direction or not.

For me also, looks and uniqueness matters a great deal. For others, it might not. I love having something that is special and not your everyday run of the mill things. The Rex5 are absolutely beautiful pieces of art for my taste. Everything from the shape, box, and even the case they charge in is just special to me. Nothing even comes close their looks in bluetooth. Just knowing that when I walk in a room or street, what I have isn’t easily found or even understood by the majority of people out there means something to me. And all that takes place before their audiophile capabilities in their sound and the 7 hours of battery life.

For others, things like the Bose can’t be replaced for them because of their need for ANC. The bose represents the absolution for noise sin. There is nothing on this planet more effective at destroying noise than the Bose brand of earphones. And if this is highly important to you, earphones like the Pi8 or even the Rex5 are not going to be the path you want no matter how many people keep lying about their ANC ability. This is not an opinion. It’s a flat-out fact that these things do a horrible job at canceling out noise. Most top ranked sound earphones do. And no, it’s not a situation where if you do your job with ANC , this brings your quality of sound down. This is one of the othrt bigger lies in the industry to help protect the image of big brands that either don’t do their job with ANC or don’t have the tech to do it like bose. So they have to make up lies about the sound quality being affected. No, it’s a matter of proper research and development.

Finally, we have brand image. A lot of people really care about the look of having the brand. Brand ambassadors like Beckon here above help push the legacy of your brand to higher levels because respect the attention that the brand demands through their endorsers and history. People fight to catch a look at their favorite athlete or singer wearing the brand like Bowers and Wilkins and Or Apple. To them, if they have it and they are popular, if they get it, they will become popular too. So this is a big factor that might make you turn to one brand vs. other.

So now you can understand that picking your earphones or headphones comes down to you as a person and knowing what’s matters to you before you just go with what a review says or what the companies webpages says. Make your choices more wisely, and you won’t end up like me, with a bunch of earphones I have to sell.

For me, my list are as follows..

My top 7 categories I look for the most in order …

1.Sound, 2. Comfort, 3. Reliability 4.Battery 5. Phone call quality , 6. ANC, 7. PRICE

This results in this ranking(for me!)

1. Az100

2. Rex5

3. Pi8’s

4. Gemini 2

5 Denon perl Pro

And so we reach the conclusion of consideration for things. You are still left with the choice to accept or reject the ranking I have ever for myself. And the biggest reason for that is that you aren’t me. You can decide on other things and ranking being this or that for yourself. You might want to only look for sound, phone call quality, ANC, or something else not even listed in my top categories. This is just what I look for. You will have your own.
