I think most people in the world confuse the Terms “Best Sounding” with “Best in the world”. You don’t have to hold the title best in sound  in order to be the best Earphone. While the Az100 is every bit a great as a earphone could be in sound, having one of the best timbre, tonality, imaging, flat killer bass, immersive sound and vocals, and one of the best soundstage ever placed into earphones, they still are only at a 9.7 in overall sound quality. This is amazing to have a 9.7 out of 10 in sound quality. 90%, if not more earphones in the world today, can’t manage that score. In fact, only 3 exist, the Gemini 2, Pi8’s, and Rex5. That’s right …there are only 3 bluetooth earphones in the world, better than a 9.7 sound rating in my scale and at times I swear it could be argued that its higher to number 2 or even the best by some areas because the Az100 immersion level is so magical. This is how you start to understand that being the absolute best in sound is not required by the AZ100 to be the overall best. Yes, it’s still the best earphone and my complete champion and brand, in my opinion,  even after the pi8s and Rex5’s.

The boxes checked by this thing after the 9.7 in sound quality are vast over those three listed with higher sound quality rating over 9.7

• The battery life of the AZ100 Absolutely Destroys every single one of those earphones listed above them in sound.
• They have PERFECT customizable touch controls that are accurate.
• The Hear thru is tons better than any listed above.
• The ANC is better than all listed above along with the ability to control or activate OFF mode, something most of the 3 can’t do well or at all.
• Phone call quality for ANC ability is the best in the industry period
• 3 device sync ability …is the only ability given to Technics, also not available for the others.
• Is the most reliable earphone for two generation in row that scored perfect scores on my site with zero hang ups, crashes, skips, or firmware corrective needs.
• And of course is the most reasonable cost at $299 earphone by miles vs the other’s MSRP prices.

So you can see why I say that coming in at 9.7 out of 10 in sound categories alone doesn’t tell you why they are the best in the world. They are the absolute best because of all that they do, not just because they scored or didn’t score perfect 10’s in sound only. If you want that, then the Pi8 is the king, in my opinion there. Nothing matches their abilities in sound quality or small fit, I’ve since corrected. Then it’s the Rex 5 9.8 out of 10 for sound and Gemini 2 9.8 out 10 for sound. So if sound only is needed, then of course you could pick either of these at the cost of other things like good anc, good hear thru, accurate touch controls or custum touch controls, bugs needing firmware, battery life, and overpriced tags. 

So hopefully, now you can understand now that even when I’m praising a company for sound quality like the Pi8 or Rex5….this doesn’t mean they are better than the Az100 because it takes more than just one or two areas of success to override a page full of of things the Az100 wins in. That’s why they have the score they have on my site and my highest recommended earphone brand and series of all time. It’s the only bluetooth earphone I can put at the beginning of my work day and end it with them in without ever worrying about battery life, great immersive sounds, great fitting, or phone call quality. Yes, I’ve had big battery life earphones before but they didn’t have the sound quality, fit,  and immersion factor like this mixed with anc /hear thru/ and great custom controls, venting , and realibillity. This earphone just makes my life easier because I have all my attention on magical music, not on problems. So thank God for the human knowledge and will to create such things.
