What is peace to you? For me it’s the moment that I find something I can just enjoy without worrying about what it doesn’t do or what might do it better. Getting rid of distractions for me is the key. Being at peace with things for what they are VS what others want them to be. I’m so thankful to God for my life and the things He has allowed to come to me. My new Xperia I vi has really allowed a bridge to be placed between two worlds and one problem for me. It finally gives me a source to not have to worry about problems and concerns. My S24 ultra started to have serious problems with charging, and phone ability, along with the 4g – 5g speeds. It would just randomly stop working and go into SOS mode or just cut my Bluetooth signal. Getting a new phone was something I dreaded happening daily for months and it was a source of stress in my life.

Getting a Sony Xperia 1 Vi was a type of downgrade but one that I felt was still acceptable being that I never used things like the stylist or the Ai features that the S24 ultra was known for. But being an Alpha shooter, the Sony Xperia phone made more sense in that ability. Photography is a big part of my life and having such a camera with its ability (manual abilities) just was a no-brainer. I love the ability of the manual settings and pro features to get exactly what I want.

It having more battery power also helps things with its 1080p screen VS 1400p or higher found on others. This was a great thing in real life because the Sony Xperia screen tech makes their 1080 look amazing and even more realistic and beautiful because it has their bravia tech in it. This makes my phone last longer and yet still look as good if not better.

The sure fact that this phone is not in stores in the United States is another factor that I love. When I walk around the city or at airports, the chances of other people having my phone will be slim to none. I like that feeling! I hate being like everyone else and there are just too many iPhones and Samsung out there everywhere I turn for me to feel comfortable continuing that tread if I needed to buy something again. I wanted to make this count.

Finally things like Snap dragon sound, I can finally take advantage of for the first time in my life. This was so important to me to check this box off if I was forced to buy another smartphone. I didn’t want to start over with another phone that had limits on Bluetooth codec. I got tired of seeing the top earphones in the world have this option only for me to be stuck not being able to use it. Now I can and it’s freeing to finally get the sound I wanted to from all devices. Sony also give me the DSEE advantage for all other earphones as well, making other earphones I use sound even better than they did before as well.

We also have the ability to use a 3.5 jack on the phone as well and this is just an all out joy for my IEMs and headphones too. The Sony Xperia is one of very few phones in the world that still uses this and I’m so blessed to be able to have all this into a phone now without extra dongles or things to force a connection that should be just natural to the tech.

So basically, things turned out to be just fine even though I have had to deal with them not being ideal for me for a couple of months now. Sure I hate having to change and swap over things but it wasn’t as time consuming or painful as I thought. Plus the benifits I gained are starting to feel pretty epic for the things that I want from a phone VS a bunch of gimmicks I didn’t use, if I’m being honest. The only real thing I will miss is the Samsung pay. Having Google pay isn’t anywhere near the same thing. But I can’t have it all and more and more I’m starting to see that and understand that seeking it rarely works out.
