One of the most special and powerful earphones in the world today is the Noble Audio Rex5. They have so much ability to be what you want them to be because of their 5 driver set that if you put in the time, you can get what you want out of them. They are the first to truly remind me of an IEM but in a Bluetooth configuration.

When you look upon it’s beauty you can’t help but aware of its draw to the eyes. Even the green color stands out as rare amongst the Bluetooth realm of earphones. The feel of the aluminum is very pleasant to hold in your hands. I found myself a many of nights just twirling it around between my figures while listening to music. It’s something very pleasing and precious that you don’t want to drop. So I got a cover for it.

So I do all this to make sure it’s not damaged or scuffed but what I didn’t understand was just how easily I could mess up the sound of the earphone with the wrong EQ. It took me days to recover from a bad EQ set because this unit had 3 of them and they all can effect the sound in dynamic ways. And once you mess it up it’s hard to not keep trying to correct things until you kinda give up for a while. This is what happened to me. And once you do this you risk your ears being retunned to a different earphones frequency and become even more thrown off to get back what you remembered that you love about the Noble Rex5.

Even when you start over you don’t get back easily what you had that was so good. So I encourage you all to save your EQ settings before you do anything to your sound for the the Rex5. It’s really hard to regain the right setting because they are so sensitive to even the slightest changes. But I still say that it’s worth the extra time put into these to get it right the first time. It’s just a pain trying to get it back if you never saved it and change things. Trust me, when you nail the sound, don’t forget to save it before you change even the smallest thing. This type of customized sound can easily lead to people have completely different experiences especially those who don’t even bother adjust EQ’s.

Finally, be very carful switching earphones and allowing your ears to be tunned into the sound of others earphones. You can easily find yourself trying to change your sound EQ and messing up things further. This is the type of earphones, once dialed in, you might want to leave well enough alone and protect the sound you have like you would protect the unit from physical damage.
