With IEMs and Bluetooth earphones finally put to bed with endgame choices, I now can focus on the next chapter of my life. Getting off the couch and outside doing something fun. Now, yes I had the Onewheel and it was the best purchase of my life for years. No matter where I went, people stopped and stared at the Onewheel. It was like a universal language for communication. With the hobby of EUC it could be different or the same. Either way I didn’t pick it up to be approved by others. That was just a bonus.
And as far as any other similarities, that’s where things end because the EUC game is completely different from the Onewheel(no disrespect to Onewheel… It was a learning curve too). In fact, let me warn you right now, EUC is one of the hardest physical masteries you’ll ever attempt to do. For the majority of the people out there, they struggle so hard and it’s painful to get used to the changes your body and legs will go through. So many just quit before breaking through, I know I almost did.
But then I found the amazing Reddit group on EUCs and they were so helpful to me and supportive. I can’t remember the last time I got such support on a reddit form in my life of using it. Most of the time I only get 1 or 2 people that truly want to help and the rest are jerks. But this time the reddit group “ElectricUnicycle” treated me like family. They emphasized how hard it was for them too, so I knew it wasn’t just me or a bad Unicycle. Then they all provided me with great insight and tips to get me through all the bad parts of the beginning stages that truly helped me.
All it helped me move to the next day of progression. But the biggest jump day was when I got these pads and they added another layer of support and Lockin in my legs that created amazing stability and better muscle adjustments and application. This easily made things better and that took me from riding a few inches to 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 20 minutes none stop with crashing and without wobbles.
Got the rest of my gear as well. My helmet, gloves, and even a jacket. Now I’m pretty ready for neighbor adventure rides, something I couldn’t even consider just 6 days ago. And now I look forward to my day closing out at my job so I can jump on this EUC. I guess the only thing needed is a nickname for it. I will come up with one suitable soon. Until then I’m having a blast.
