I can’t be alone here in this experience but aren’t you tired of having Bluetooth earphones that either don’t live up to the billing and hype they push themselves or can’t work right without failures, lock ups, disconnects, and stutters? I’ve had so many earphones and paid so much for the privilege of owning them. And yet time after time, all I end up with is things that never last or work right 95% of time. I say 95% of the time because there has been one brand that has become a anomaly amongst the pack. That brand is Technics.
All the years of disappointments and brand after top brand has proven that manufacturers can’t make things that last or at the very least be consistent enough to make it seem like it does. And like I said with them all there is but one brand that has stood the test of time and had the least amount of failure during two generations of use, the Technics Az series of earphones.

Look, I’m not sure if it’s the DNA or where the manufacturers are located that set their standards. All I know is that for two generations, if not more, Technics have been making extraordinary earphones that last and are consistently dependable. And the latest of their series the Az100 is just a beast that devours all other others. It has the same unique 3 device abilities and yet this year adds liquid magnetic drivers and 10 hour battery life abilities.

Lets stop and appreciate the hard work and accomplishments that this company has managed to put up. I mean, see for yourself above! Makes no sense to be this good and this far under the main stream radar. Because most people, if asked about this brand wouldn’t have heard of them. All they know is Sony, Bose, Apple, maybe Sennheiser for the most part. And yet none of them deliver like the Technics.
Typically, the more the earphones do and the better the sound, the worse consistent operation you see. Right now I sit hear with a Bose earphones that flat out just cut out dead by itself for no reason with 90% battery power still left. A Bowers and Wilkins pi8 that can’t keep battery levels from draining. A Soundcore liberty pro 4 that been charging for weeks and the battery life is at 65%. I basically can keep going. But not with the Technics. They managed to get one of the top 3 sound qualities on the market while delivering on the most dependable operation on the market, while still having great battery life, amazing touch controls, great phone call quality, and ANC with good Hear thru.
Dear Technics..
Thank you so much for all your hard work on the Az100 and Az80! They are the only perfect scoring earphone I’ve ever reviewed that remained consistent and dependable while still having amazing sound qualities and battery life. Thanks for not wasting my time in months and years of wait for firmware to fix something or give me something you promised when it launch but never worked. You are an example of what greatness should look like in the world of Bluetooth Earphones.
