With all the brands out there having to have released their new headphones and earphones(minus xm6 earbuds), Sennheiser has been rather quiet. There seems to be no talks yet about anything coming that I’ve seen for the the Momentum True Wireless 5. In fact the Momentum 4 still are at their $299 pricetag, showing no signs of preparation for a secessor. This could mean nothing until 2026 as their normal followed routine of spacing.
If I’m honest, I truly don’t have a reason to put anything over the MTW 4’s . I have had zero flaws from them outside of venting and volume. It probably would have scored perfect on my charts if not for the venting and weaker volume levels. Everytime I put them in, I immediately got head pressure build up. However, the new Samsung ultra 25 allows the proper volume finally to be heard in these, whereas some of my other phones somehow had a hard time driving the drivers for the Sennheiser’s. But the best thing is that it wasn’t until now that I discovered a fitting adjustment to stop the pressure build up. Now I don’t have pressure build up anymore and if this was something I knew then, there might not have ever been another earphone purchased. Honestly, they have always been the Kings of Mid-Range(which is my number one range) with amazing bass, and treble and vocals in Bluetooth earphones. The tonality and timbre that it produces with bringing out the details in mids is just frankly unmatched by anything else. The natural smooth sound of Sennheiser have a cult like following. Not saying I’m drinking that cool-aid but it’s truly that good people.
They also already have the look and a very good app with the balance of useful features that actually make a difference. So, for a part 5, if they simply double down on what they have done this year mixed with a smaller design in case and overall body of the earphones and a battery life of 8-10 hours, I feel they will have everything they need to recapture the overall market hype and mindshare about their products. If I’m honest, one could say there hasn’t been anyone on the market to get them in the first place anyway.
At the end of the day the Sennheiser’s could have been the only earphone I purchased or needed and should have remained that way for me until part 5 if I knew back then what to do with the venting problem and volume problem I had. It’s been one of the most dependable, very good battery life and protection of the usage of the battery and still one of the best looking earphones in the world. Even the ANC, phone call, and Hear thru are amongst the very best in Bluetooth today. There is nothing else needed, just being honest. You basically have to come up with an excuse not to have this earphone purchased and need something more afterwards unless you have a phone that can’t properly power it’s drivers or they just don’t fit. They don’t crash out, stutter , discharge your battery because you don’t use it for 2 days( aka …BW pi8!), doesn’t have fit issues, control delays ( aka BW pi8), doesn’t have weak ANC( Aka BW pi8), or Weak hear thru, and makes good phone calls like I’ve mentioned. It literally checks all the boxes and have done this since their release in 2024.
