Look, I’ve been one of these people that have sat on the fence about these. I truly didn’t want anything to do with this earphone because they were clones of airpods. I had move on from Apple years ago and didn’t want something that would just be a copy of the format I left. So I didn’t get this when it released. But since my latest purchased of the 25 Ultra I being pulled pretty hard to everything Samsung. So I decided to see what these were truly like.
I really wanted something that gave me access to my text messages and apps messages and read them out loud by itself. My Sony’s Xm6’s did this but I didn’t like the earphones from Sony xm5’s because of the lack of venting so I didn’t have a connection to this with earphones. So the only way to do this was go with Samsung, so I got these. I had heard mixed thoughts so I wasn’t sure what I was going to get.
I also wanted something that had high quality in music presentation in kHz and yet something that could be useful for phone calls, ANC, hear thru. So on the surface of the good reviews this earphones was a good option. On the surface of the bad reviews, you would think this was the worst idea ever. Truth typically is in the middle when you see this.
What I got was actually not in the middle, at least not for me. The sound was so detailed and rich thanks to the options given in the app. The unit could be played in 96khz and yet it still had tech to increase the fidelity of phone calls all while still having a 10 band EQ. This earbud sound quality are and options are some of the very best, period. Its sound, timbre, soundstage, imaging, bass, mids and treble rivals every single one of my most expensive earphones.
You could pretty much get whatever you wanted from the sound along with all the other options like adjust sound to fit and amazing haptic feedback on the controls. Using it was effortless as they truly did copy Apple thoroughly. But even with all this, it means nothing if it can’t fit comfortably. And comfortable is a word that truly doesn’t do it justice. I think this could just be the best fitting earphones I’ve ever had since the Airpods pro. Which again, was their purpose, I’m sure. In fact, I would have to say, it could be the most locked in and comfortable earphone that I own today.
The buds also give you access to the translator feature of the Samsung phones. This is a game changer to hear the translation through the earphones based on something someone says. And on top of that, it connects to Gemini AI which is amazing of course.
For me, at the end of the day its a anomaly that I don’t quite understand. For only the second time in my life, I’ve ran into a earphones that is one of my favorite because they are convenient, reliable, eco system connected, reads my text messages, is amazingly comfortable with a stem, amazing physical controls and touch controls, and sounds true to life, with rich bass and details mids. And, yet it doesn’t defeat others in ranking but because it’s more convenient, and connects to my new eco system (Galaxy products) much like Apple airpods did, they are one of my new go to.
