The Solo’s (aka Killmonger) is turning out to be something so amazing and game changing. This planar driver, resenator setup, Lid, Apex tech along with their tuning is delivering things like texture and timbre and decay faster and more realistic than anything I’ve ever experienced. The bass is so amazing and powerful with a subtle tip to the side of balance and nothing plays out of place or is too complex for it to play cleanly even in the face of powerful dynamics and sub bass. Every single detail of the song is played amazingly. All the little treble moment sound is pure crisp and People make the huge mistake and believing that the sound is only the planar. So they think any Planar IEM is just as good when they cheaper, when they are nowhere near the same.
I hear details I have never heard even other $1000 IEMs because all other IEM’s aren’t enginered like 64 Audio. With dynamic drivers, in most cases, deliver a little bit of a smearing especially at high volumes or complex tracks and they don’t process things as fast as Planar drivers are able to do. This is typically made up by adding multiple drivers and only the best engineering processes and this aims to make this better and less seen. This Planar driver with the holtz resonator design that 64 audio implemented is masterclass creation in engineering and tolerances and is a bar that is set so high with the result that they leave conventional rankings and surpasses the levels dynamics driver and other IEM configuration are able to do as a whole.
And I’m sorry, can we take some more time to appreciate the amazing looks of this UIEM? I’m so attracted to this look of this IEM more than I have of any IEM in my life. I don’t think there has been a IEM I’ve loved the way it looked more than this that isn’t a custom IEM. And don’t get me going with the fit. Feels like it’s a wireless custom fit earphone. And on top of this, they have the absolute best venting I’ve ever experienced. This goes a long way in the way the music feels in my brain. My brain can’t perceive the IEMs in my ears nor the wiring weight and therefore my brain believes the sounds are coming naturally from around me causing this euphoric holographic 3D even 4D feeling in my head and body, that only one other IEM have touched on this but the Solo takes it all the way.
Other little things like this cable is also a part of my love for this product. It is my new favorite cable design, thickness, and feel. Hell, I even love the bloody shirt clip spring tension. I mean, talk about nailing every aspect, even the small ones of a product creation…. 64 Audio put their foot into this one. It’s just a beautiful kiss to audio in my opinion. It is as beautiful as a piece of art. I find myself just sometimes staring at it and the cable as it’s wrapped up when I’m not using it.
It perfectly matches all the things in audio that I care about in my life. My 109’s, 499’s, and N6III by Cayin all matching the same color scheme but better than that they all represent the very best in their class for audio. And everyday I listen to it … It gets better and better every day. This is why this is turned out to be one of the “End Kings”.
What is a End King? It’s the last of the great Kings before the end of all kings of this hobby. This is a group of IEM’S that I believe are on a level so high and unique in their presentation that the law of diminishing returns is so strong that it prevents any chance of justification of others being better fully at any price. You may be able to find 1-5% in one area from a different IEM but what you won’t find is any definitively better possibilities the even begin to prove their overall performance legitimately over the “End Kings”. And this is one of the “End Kings” of the IEM world. There are only a handful of others but if you have one of the “End Kings” …there is no way to prove or find real results that justify things being better than them. Things like the Valhalla and Monarch Mk2 by Thieaudio or the 64 Audio Volur or U12T are a part of this group and now the Solo has been added to the fray. So if you have one of these kings, there is no need to buy anything else that isn’t an End King level IEM unless you just want to collect.
At the end of all this is the reality, I’m not going to do what I’ve always done, and that’s to tell you this is it and I’m done. Everytime I do this , there is another and another. So I won’t say that anymore. I can say though that this is the happiest and most satisfied with a sound product I’ve been in my life and even my friends and family can tell this one matches me and are probably thinking, this one might be the end game for real this time. Who knows, right? I just don’t have any desire to move from this at this time is that is all I will provide for you. That and confirmation that this is indeed special and it’s doing things nothing has ever done in sound for my experience like the ones before once did. So there must be another level up from even this too, right?
Maybe the 64 audio Volur is the next obvious step, or a CIEM, which I’ve never had. I don’t know. Right now, I’m just extremely happy with the company 64 Audio and blessed to be able to get this product. Will there be another Planar done by 64 Audio? Will it look better than the Solo, fit better than the Solo, sound better than the Solo, or cost less than the Solo? Well those are my requirements. It must be 64 Audio, must be an Planar because I can’t go back to dynamic drivers, must fit better, look better and be the same or better price.
