When people want to know what makes the Solo’s so different and special to a company like 64 audio and to the fans of this wonderful UIEM, I can think of only two main words, Planar and Timbre. The Solo UIEM isn’t going to beat everyone in how much bass, how much mids, or how much treble. Even though the planar slam is flat out sick, even though the planar mids are flat out lush and butter, and even though the planar treble, thanks to the dual holtz resonator design and the 64 audio tech and RND, is amazing in details and absolute perfect in it’s revealing and sparkles without too much.
Yes, if this doesn’t get your heart thumping a little more, then I don’t know what will. They have literally perfected the Planar tech and eliminated all the negative issues with treble spikes. They have added acoustic chambers to help create a custom soundstage and imaging balance, unmatched by anything prior. Then they added amazing venting, better than anyone ever had in the IEM world to boot for my ears. Mixed this into one of the must beautiful UIEM cases and cable to boot. Which you have the option of which cable termination you want( 3.5 or 4.4 cable) and then you have a perfect UIEM.
When songs like Bubbles from Yosi Horikawa plays with my Cayin N6III and my Solo’s, you know you have something special without a doubt. For the first time in playing this song amount 100x with all my UIEM for testing, this song played different from every single UIEM I have ever tested that song on. For the first time ever the timbre was so exact and perfect that I truly can appreciate this song more than I have ever. I can her ever single different texture the way they naturally and realistic sound. Every subtle change in the textures of the materials from the bounce of the balls, to plastic, wood flooring, to layers of the echos in the room the sounds were created, and of course the spreading of the beads. I literally can place how big the balls were that were bouncing and how big the room was that they were bounced inside and how far away each element was. It is a masterpiece of sound quality on a different level that I have never had a single iem duplicate like this ever. This is why the Solo’s are so perfect and my favorite UIEM.
