For my IEM life, the company Thieaudio has stood the rest of time with me. I’ve always kept multiple Thieaudio products in my lineup of IEMs to wear. Yes, sometimes that multiple turns into one but eventually I get a 2nd pair. Why? Well to put it blauntly, their sound signature has always been adaptive and pleasing to my ears. If they aren’t sitting at #1 with the monarch mk2’s they are sitting at number 2. So with the Oracle mk3, there is no difference hear. They are my #2 or #3 IEMs I turn to for sound.

They are absolutely gorgeous and the fit so well in my ears. And if course the main benefit is sound. It’s so powerful. No shock there with Thieaudio. Most people know that they hit hard. But the bass and impact systems they put into their IEMs are not the ruling area that makes them almost unbeatable. It’s the mid range. That Thieaudio flat mid range is the source of their juicy and syrupy milky mids tonality and timbre is flat out realistic and very hard to match in the world of IEMs like Thieaudio does it.

The vocals are sick and the treeble has the perfect ice drop and crispy details you come to expect from high end IEMs. Even with greater Thieaudio IEMs in existence, I have still found it very hard to justify the cost over these even though they may have a little better sound. That $599 range is the sweet spot for cost and sound.

Even with my favorite IEM right now, I can not tell you it’s worth $1400 let alone $800 more in sound over the Oracle mk3. To really push things further, most people will pick up the Oracle and deem the Oracle Mk3 better than the Solo’s on a blind test. Only people that have a need for more technical superior sound will come away looking at the Solo’s more. 70% of the people out there will hear that better bass, better dynamics, and great mids and timbre equal to that of the Solo’s to truly stand on their choices for the Oracle mk3 and there before any price considerations.

Thieaudio is no joke with their lineups. It’s just the truth. Even me, while I’m listening to my Oracle Mk3, I know if I put back on my Solos I will immediately feel a lack of dynamics and bass impacts. Or to put it into common language, I will feel it’s missing the soul of the music coming straight from the more impactful Oracle mk3 IEM. I also noticed over time I also having problems with fit of my Solo’s(even with multiple different tip swaps) just like I developed with the 64 audio 12T, which led to me selling them.
Overall, I have to understand and remember the ear adaption effects all ears. So I understand why I’m feeling the sweet dynamics and slam of the Oracle mk3 right now over the Solo’s. But I also understand the law if diminishing returns is undefeated. So I can’t in good consciousness suggest a IEM over $1000 when you have so many great lowe cost $599 range IEMs like the Oracle Mk3.
