Well, day two of my testing of the Anker Soundcore Buds 2 went very well. I know a lot of people do not really test their earphones like this, but I have to. I do a lot of walking and find it very relaxing to walk for miles. And ever since the Sennheiser MTW5s that I got gave a bunch of feedback and body noise while walking, I have been very cautious about that result from other earphones. What I noticed was that while the Sennheiser MTW5s had the most body noise, other earphones had a level of it.

Well, I am happy to report that these Anker Soundcore buds 2 have zero body noise while walking. This is incredible if you ask me. They had no connection issues as well. Once again, these low-cost earphones happen to have nailed something other companies do not even test for in most cases. Just like nailing down the phone call quality, they seem to have nailed down the body noise factors. So, while these may be small things to many people out there, it is the small stuff that seems to always trip up the overall performance of other earphones. It is humbling to see such a low-cost, small, lightweight unit be so powerful while still checking the boxes for the small things that we take for granted until they get in the way of the greatness that others come so close to nailing, only to fall short.

So far, things have been going very favorably for the Anker Buds 2. I am quite shocked at the small things these have so far. But of course, the sound quality is still the biggest factor. I expected the phone call quality to be world-leading from their previous model, but for something this small to have the power and dynamics it has, along with the details, is still shocking to me. I thought once I went back to my Sennheisers or Sonys that this would end my appreciation for the Buds 2, thinking that it was mostly placebo or newness bias. But even after going back to the Sennheisers and Sonys, returning to the Buds 2 only confirmed just how competitive they were.

These are just some of those earphones that most people might miss but truly do not need to. They are seriously disruptive in the market of expensive earphones. Millions are sold, so I get that they have a fanbase, but I think this will only grow their reputation. So far, this is not just an option for those who do not want to spend a lot of money anymore; it is slowly becoming an option to consider because it just might be the best one depending on what you are seeking, and that is a huge statement. More to come soon.
