Well, it’s time to take off TheOneDevice and charge it, so I thought this would also be a great time to reflect on the differences that this unit is making in my life. For starters, this is pretty early on in this experiment, but I think everyone’s expectations and experiences are different and are affected by those two concepts as well. For me, the weird thing is that I think I went in reverse; I had low expectations and didn’t expect changes until weeks down the road. I got my high or experience earlier than I thought, and day two was my most influential day. I got the grounded feeling, I got the Xanax feeling in the mind, and I actually slept with multiple vivid dreams..

However, coming into day four, the result is different. For starters, my sleep was horrible again. Stress at night returned along with random rapid heart rates while I was wearing the necklace, mind you. No more Xanax feeling or grounded feeling is present today. I feel similar to the way I did for years prior. My headaches returned as well. Symptoms of Chiari malformation returned, whereas before, on the second day, they were not present. Now, granted, this could be because of storms, to be fair. All these things are multiplied prior to storms for me. So, could this just be a result of my condition overreacting to the pressure changes like it always does before storms? Sure..

Maybe this necklace cannot handle issues with Chiari malformation, or maybe I haven’t had it long enough for it to handle that. Could this return to normal be temporary? Sure. Could this prove that it was all placebo? Sure. I was, however, still motivated to do more since day two. But again, there is nothing to overreact to and definitively claim as a failure or success yet. We still have not had it for a week yet, let alone a month. But something tells me I won’t need a month because my body is pretty sensitive to things like this, which is probably why I felt it as strongly on the second day, even if it was placebo..
Ironically, the funny thing is that if this does work as a placebo, they could still claim it worked nonetheless, couldn’t they? But that is just my weird mind analyzing things again. It is like giving a man a rock and claiming it to be a charm, telling him that if he holds it, his fears at night will disappear. The man wakes up the next morning and felt no fear that night. Even if it is a rock, if you allowed me to convince you it could do this and your mind accepted it and made the changes out of mere suggestion, can you say the rock did not work? Is this that rock? More to come!
