So here is my confession…I’m a watch addict:). I love watches; always have. I remember when I was 3 years old and cut out pictures of Casio watches out of the Christmas magazine we got from department stores because I knew I couldn’t fit them or convince my parents to get them in real life. However, like most of you, Casio has been a brand in our lives from the old times to new most likely. In more than one way, we have relied on them.
So when things like the Gshock exist and completley turns the world of watches over on its head with over 100,000,000 million sold we should all take notice regardless of our previous conceptions of watches and brands. Watches brands like Tag Heuer, Omega, and Rolex all have their cult following. And these followers quote everything from reliability, functions, and accuracy as their reasoning in most cases for their willingness to spend thousands and thousands of dollars on their watch brand.

And yet none of those watches are more reliable, have better functions, nor are more accurate than G shock models. In fact there is no other brand like Casio’s G-shock. This a fact that keeps being pushed aside for years. Go spend $12,000 on a IWC and you will still never beat the shock resistance, accuracy, or reliability of G shocks even at $169 and yet nobody wants to accept this.

People always tell themselves what they need to justify what they do when it comes to spending a lot of money. Nobody will ever let themselves see that the money their spent doesn’t deliver more than something less than that cost because they wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. The money must show reason why and when it doesn’t anger and refusing of truth comes in. So people continue to allow themselves to see things like this Mudmaster. Completely bulletproof to shocks and g forces, water, and mud..It can be ran over, has analog time along with digital readouts, solar so the battery last forever, Japanese model has atomic time for perfect time down to the milliseconds, has stopwatch, timers, alarms and world time along with the easily the best light ever place on a watch along with the best readout of visible numbers on the deplay and all this for under $400. This absolutely kills the time and stopwatch features only on the more expensive IWC watch and it’s not even debatable. The only thing more clear is the outright refusal to be honest enough with themselves that most high-end purchurers have about their watches. Logic just doesn’t apply in this world. It’s one of the few areas where simple logic doesn’t apply to the more educated and logical thinkers. It truly comes down to justifications, pride, and tradition.
