Well once again, I’ve been given a bad hand. Just when I thought it was safe to relax, the M100 fails. Now, it wasn’t a complete failure that prevented me from enjoying my music but it was a hardware failure, nonetheless. The sensors that activate the wear detection went out in both units and no matter resets, reboots, deletions of bluetooth pairing, or app deletions and toggling switches, nothing worked. Ironically though, the last test that I promised I would do was against the only other Product that never had a failure its entire time, the AZ80.

The M100, despite its unique design and amazing battery life and soundstage, lost to the AZ80. The build, app design, and attention to details presented in this earphone just overwhelmed the M100’s. And even though I was subjectively in love more with the M100 before its failure to it sensors, I could not help but be aware of the Az80’s power:). The AZ80 had the best phone quality and ANC hands down( one of the few spots the M100 didn’t do well in). They beat the M100’s in my Sound test in music, Asmr, Podcast, and Movies. In fact, one of the test I did with the movie Blade Runner 2049 Scene with Dr. Ana’s memory chamber, the AZ80, scored the highest experience I’ve ever had in my life.

In every test regardless of style, genre, or subject… the AZ80 had the superior Timbre, Tonality, Bass, Mids, and imaging. The only area it didn’t completely beat the M100’s in was the width of soundstage and Battery life. It was even the superior product with the app, multi pairing options, and customizations. But keep in mind this was known against all other earphones as well. No earphones I have ever had were better designed, more stable, with fewer issues and problems than the AZ80 in Bluetooth devices on Android phones. The Airpods are just as great for Apple products, but don’t come even a mile close to the AZ80 in sound quality.

So sadly the M100’s had to be returned due to the failure of the sensors. I personally would have kept it alongside the Az80’s if they hadn’t failure in it’s sensors. I was just that attached. I would have used them as a back up if the AZ80 actually ever stopped working and had a failure of something. But the failure again proves with the cost of superior built products are higher.
