Well, I’m done testing all the possibilities of the Az100 by Technics, aka Satoru Gojo! The name is very fitting based on the abilities of theat earphones vs. others. The sound, battery life, touch controls, phone call ability in noisy conditions all top notch. I love the look and color variation with the white and silver more than the traditional black and gold. Normally, black is my direction, but with Technics, the white and silver is my jam.
I have the battery life I’ve always wanted mixed in with great sound quality mixed with possibly the best mid range in the game, great timbre, wide soundstage with perfect separation, and very nice tonality to boot. I mean, it’s a dream come true. It’s so realistic in the sounds it produces. Movies, asmr, tech house, rap, piano, rnb, and even audio books come to life.
When you have such a stunningly good looking pair of earphones that look amazing in your ear and feel just as amazing in your mixed with the sound quality and features you look for in an earphone that doesn’t have failures or lies that plague them, it becomes refreshing to finally have it. Especially when a company takes the only two areas I could even ask for from their last version and completely do them exactly like I wanted(better battery life and smaller design), you become Legend for me!
This is why it continues its name as Satoru Gojo. He too hit the scene and people gravitated to him and locked in on him as one of the most liked anime heroes very early in his existence because once something truly connects in this manner, you don’t need months or years to know that something is special with this one. So it is with the Technics Az100. I couldn’t have asked for anything more from them. There is literally nothing I want more of or need more of. And is the reason why it was given another perfect 💎 again for this version.
It is also future proof with the ability to use Auracast and LE audio. So you will not have to wonder if your earphones will take advantage of the future. It will do so, and actually, it’s waiting on the future and not the other way around. So you not only have an earphone that has no flaws for today but is already flawless for tomorrow.
After all that, they still remain the only earphone in the world that can connect to 3 devices. It is also one of the very few devices in the world that can still use LDAC with two device connections. Basically, it’s a very special earphone that could go down as a legend in bluetooth earphones for a great many people. For me, it’s already there and serves as the only earphone ever to gain back to back perfect scores during my life of testing earphones. The Technics may have their haters out there. It’s a forgone conclusion that they will come. But ultimately, more people will walk away, believing in the efforts placed with this earphone and see just how amazing it is.
This earphone is the straw that broken the camel’s back for me and caused me to get rid of all my other earphones and retire from the hobby of audiophile buying for bluetooth I have all I want in headphones, earphones, and iems. The last domino fell. This was literally the last area in my audiophile life that I was still buying products and hadn’t settled yet. But now it’s here, and the book is complete, and it’s time to close the book.
