Look, I’ve talked about these for a couple of years now. The most important factor that needs to be said right now is that they remain, after all these years, the absolute best Bluetooth earphones in terms of sound, feel, and quality under $500, or at any price, really. Look, I’m not saying that you have to spend a $450-$499 price tag to get great sound. But if you’re wondering what is the very best, even after all these years on the market for those categories, there is only one True End, Kai’ckul of Bluetooth.
I have mentioned this multiple times throughout the years. For as old as the Devialet Gemini 2 are, not having a single earphone better than this in sound is almost a shame. Again, I want to stress that there are other earphones that have more features and do more for you, like the Samsung Buds 4 Pro and Sony WF-1000XM6, which read your text messages to you and have Gemini voice activation without touches, sure battery life, or voice controls themselves, but I’m not talking about anything but sound.
The sound in these is devastating for Bluetooth. The warmth and smoothness of these earphones are unmatched. They also have amazing separation and imaging. Best of all, they create possibly the most revealing soundstage around you than any Bluetooth ever. If that’s not enough, these things look as beautiful as they sound. And when you wear them out, they look different and unique. Nobody will have them on but you while you walk through the airport or mall. The only thing about these is that they will only give you about 5 hours or less of battery life and have no off option (Hear Through or ANC Only).
People online who have no idea what they are talking about or just want something different will move away from these or claim they are overhyped. They aren’t! No matter what Bluetooth earphone I get or how much I’m impressed with it, the moment I put these back on, they still beat every single Bluetooth earphone I buy in sound, even after months of conditioning my ears to other earphones. They fit perfectly in your ears, so there are no fit problems. Even the case is tiny and smaller than 99% of all other earphones in the world.
It’s crazy that after all these years on the market, the Devialet Gemini 2 is still the best-sounding earphone in Bluetooth. You would have thought others would have caught up by now. But no, this is just not the case. You can try them all, and nobody can do what these do in sound. Again, I’m not talking about this being the best overall earphone in more than just sound. I’m merely referring to sound. Other earphones like the Sony XM6 have better battery life, better ANC, better features like Google Voice and voice control options, among other features. These are only about sound, quality of build, and looks(has impressive ANC too). For some people, this is exactly what they want, while others need more, like having the ability to take phone calls while running a weed-eater, like the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro. But trust me when I tell you there is an absolute universe-wide difference in the quality of these in sound and build over others.
