No matter what I use, I keep coming back to these earphones. They’re not the greatest overall earphones. They’re truly only great for sound, fit, and case battery life. They have decent ANC, and okay Ambient modes. The battery life available is 35 hours with very quick charge cycles, which is nice. They have an EQ, which is outstanding, and App with very basic ability to only make minor changes. No voice commands or voice activation of Google or any other gimmick. They are truly sound-focused earphones, and Noble is not ashamed of this identity.
However, they are gorgeous too, but that might be more subjective than factual for everyone. I personally love the IEM design, and pretty much every faceplate design The Wizard has ever done for Noble. It’s truly a hybrid earphone that reminds you of the IEM world in looks. It also does so in sound. It’s one of the few Bluetooth earphones that can be placed on the table of IEMs. But of course, they don’t match the ability of an IEM fully; but boy do they get a seat at the table with them. In fact I haven’t picked up my IEM for music since this unit arrived, which is, now that I think about l, very scary to me.
While looking like IEMs and fitting like IEM’S because of their shared shape, they of course aren’t going to be something you reach for to sleep in though. But man, Asmr sound fantastic in them still. Soundtracks like Blade runner 2049 sound unbelievable. And DJ sets from Boris Brejcha will make you heart pound. Bottom line, everything is at a level beyond anything you have experience if you haven’t experienced Noble.
So if I’m being honest, they don’t make sense over other earphones like Sony and Samsung for “overall” use or advancement in anything but sound and possibly fit for people with normal ears who like the IEM fit and shape. While this may be what you truly want in the first place, I can’t pretend this will make sense to the majority of people out there who are into earphones with features. But I think that their price entry point at $199 will make it more acceptable than most earphones out there that may be limited in their features as well. I can see people just buying them for that reason alone after seeing their gorgeous looks and the Noble name.
At the end of the day, as long as you know the limits you will truly have with these earphones, from the apps to the ability to be heard in even semi-busy environments, if you can deal with that while just focusing on the good things like the sound and the fit, this might end up being a possible endgame for a lot of people who only want sound and fit. Those people aren’t seeking the highest ANC and best Ambient Modes. They are fine with a decent amount and results from those things. They don’t care that it has no wireless charging. The fact that they sound better than everything on the market is the badge of honor they want the most, and it delivers, especially if you know how to properly use the EQ settings. I tried to avoid this as much as possible because I know how personal this statement will be to a lot of people because sound is subjective.
But at the end of the day, they are the best, or at worst, tied for the best-sounding Bluetooth earphones I’ve ever heard. Some could argue for the Rex 5, and I won’t dispute them, but I still believe this makes a strong argument for better results in more realism. But even if all else is the same or almost the same, the EQ and the fact that these are $199 levels the playing field. Things I’ve sworn by for sound, like my Gemini 2’s, Sony’s, Samsung Buds 4 Pro, Bang and Olufsen, and many more, have all been defeated by these earphones in sound at a mere $199 price tag to boot. Let that sink in.
The Noble Osprey should be on your list of earphones to pick up if you want the best sound quality easily. I don’t believe there has ever been an earphone at $199 that was this dominant in sound, looks, and fit. And trust me when I say, if there was ever an earphone you should buy and trust it will be the greatest sound ever experienced, this is it. Their sound quality is beyond realism, their bass is beyond Bluetooth levels, and their details are so clear and 3D-like. Finally, the mids and timbre are so lush and real and play so well with that balanced level that you forget you are wearing Bluetooth earphones.
Noble Audio simply makes the best-sounding earphones on planet Earth, full stop (especially with EQ). And getting that quality at $199 makes this the best deal I’ve ever seen. But let me make myself clearer…price has nothing to do with why I rank this unit so high in sound quality. The price is the unbelievable icing that came on top of the treat. So this isn’t about giving something its flowers because they gave it a lower rate. The flowers are theirs despite the price. And now that I’m at a new stage of my life to end needles adding of tech, I find these are just about as great of a endgame stoping point that I could have had.
