So people, we have got a new champ overall AND Best “Sounding” earphone in the world of Bluetooth. I know I previously thought this was the second-best sounding earphone in the world next to the Noble brand. But as of today, after the Personalized Audio mode adjustment, it completely changed the game again. These MTW 5’s are flat-out phenomenal..and the Absolute best. This Sennheiser Personalized audio test truly does create a sound quality that you can’t do yourself on the EQ. This thing made things so much better for sound. I can’t believe I almost disregarded and missed this ability. In the past, these types of EQs never did it for me. But this time, it did. I kept hearing from others how much this made a difference in their sound, even over the personalized EQ they normally use. In fact, almost every review I have watched on YouTube all day says the same thing about using this over your own EQ.
I just didn’t believe that the Osprey would be defeated by any brand, let alone one like Sennheiser or some other commercial brand found in local stores. But after I did my personalized audio and found so much more extra sound quality behind it, I had to retest the Nobles against the Sennheisers MTW 5. It wasn’t even close, people! You didn’t need even 1 minute of listening before you understood just how devastatingly the Sennheisers ruled over the Noble Osprey.
People, this is serious stuff here! Now, the conversation has changed to better than even some IEMs in the world right now. Yes, you heard me right. For the first time in my life, I can say that this Bluetooth device has surpassed a level of IEM. Not saying they will defeat $2000 IEMs, but $100-$200 IEMs can start to sweat now, or even IEMs of equal value to that of the Sennheiser MTW5. I didn’t think this was possible, people, but I think this tuning and the new style of fit it uses to create sound illusion and soundstaging is just next level. I can’t stress to you enough the magic this has done with the fit and sound combo they did here. The way they sit and float in your ears plays such a big role in the illusion of sound placement, and then you add the overall tuning and personalized audio adjust it does, and you have basically created the most perfect environment ever made for music to exist in your ear and head.
At this point, everything I have is now debatable for its need and purpose in my audio life. I have over 12 different Bluetooth earphones that now have no place in my life in light of this one earphone (maybe with the exception of the AirPods Pro 3 that stay in my bag for backups). Let that sink in. I have never purchased a single Bluetooth device in my life that could make everything I own in its category irrelevant. Needless to say, the Sennheisers aren’t going back. I will be keeping and using these for everything sound-related in my life. This earphone has done the impossible, and not just that, but has made my life much simpler moving forward. I get to keep these for years, and I’m thankful that Sennheiser waited until all these things aligned to make the first earphone in the world that is better than equivalently priced IEMs and still has replaceable batteries and battery protection software to ensure a long life in its use.
