Just a month later on the market, the announcement of Apple’s Duo has caused the manufacturer Samsung to already discount their foldable thanks to the aggressive price of the Apple Duo. Everyone expected Apple to be overpriced and to everyone’s surprise it wasn’t. Apple announced the Duo at only $1999, just $100 more than the previously released and hot Fold 8 by Samsung. Now, as of today, Best Buy is hosting a $1649 starting price for the Fold 8 already.

This is an incredible deal at this price. But let’s not get things wrong here. The whole reason Samsung did this is to remain relevant. Everyone, even if they don’t want to admit it, knows the Apple Duo is superior to every single fold on the market. They came out and did things right and better, as they normally do when they are not first to market. But to add more fuel, they, for the first time, are coming out at an aggressive price margin that is making all the other folds look expensive. It’s so bad that eBay right now is full of buyer’s remorse sales on the Fold 8, with some going as low as $1000. You heard me right! $1000 for a Fold 8, people. This is just crazy how fast the tides change when Apple makes moves like this.
KEYS to their Attention on their Duo…
- Better resolution on the screen
- Better IP rating for waterproofing
- Better animations
- Better camera quality
- Better speakers and sound
- Way better software integration
- Better battery life

Yes, Apple has entered into a Niche market. But here are the facts: so were touchscreen keyboard phones when they entered it; so were wireless earphones when they entered it! You get where I’m going here? Apple has a habit sometimes of making a niche market relevant and making it the norm. So I won’t, for one second, take this move as something to play around with and disregard this as a fad anymore. Watch out, people; this could be Huge! A new craze is about to erupt, and the catalyst is Apple.
