After my last article on the XM6’S, some have wondered if I am going to walk back my love affair with the Sennheiser MTW5s. The answer is no! I cannot; they are truly my favorite earphones, despite their inability to do what the XM6s do. They do not have features and gimmicks at all. The most they have is the ability to change sound settings based on your environment. They cannot read text messages, use voice controls, or call out Gemini via voice only. They do not do translation or have record-breaking phone call quality.

Beyond the best superposition-like sound capability, the best midrange ever, and the most invisible fit I have ever experienced, these are my favorites. They have no flaws, offer great battery life, and are future-proof due to the user-replaceable batteries. These features make them unique to my life, and they are unbeatable in this regard, even without considering their other attributes.
Yes, I give the flowers to Sony as the best overall earphone, but this does not mean they are better than the Sennheisers at what they do best. This choice of my favorite does not always align with my opinion of who does the most; they are not always the same. So no, nothing changes except that I use the Sony a little more than I used to out of respect for the usefulness they provide to my life. But when it is all over, the MTW5s are still my favorite. The Sonys will always, sooner or later, be put to the side because of comfort. The Samsung Buds Pro, because of their battery life issues, would fall short of my MTW5s too, even though they do way more as well. They just do not have an equal for sound and fit and because of that, they remain my favorite.
